Michael Whiteside, LCSW

Michael Whiteside is a passionate mental health professional, dedicated to empowering others to see their potential as they live out their dreams. He has served as the Intensive Outpatient Program Manager for the local inpatient psychiatric hospital where he served individuals struggling with suicidal ideations, homicidal ideations, and substance use addictions. His team served over 600 patients under Mr. Whiteside's leadership which expanded the hospital's reach to help others in their fight to holistically heal.

In addition to providing clinical services, he also served as the Clinical Liaison for the Business Developmental team in which he assisted in the effort in making over 1,000 connections across the mental health field that resulted in emergency hospitalizations, increased access to mental healthcare, and most importantly an increase in the opportunity to regain control of their lives.

He is currently finishing his PhD in Clinical Social Work while operating as a General Partner and Clinical Director for Reclaiming Royalty. In his roles, he works with clients, especially African American clients, to rebuild their sense of self, realize their internal power to live as their authentic self as they heal from traumas, disappointments, and cultural challenges associated with being a minority student as they face internal and external adversity.

Michael believes that every person has the capacity to heal, it is a matter of accessing it in order to reclaim, redirect, and manifest the life desired, not just the one accepted.

Our Approach

Reclaim.

Reclaiming is the choice to take back the internal power that has been misplaced, forgotten, or unrealized. It is the process of identifying the areas in your life that have drained you of your greatest power and deciding to take that power back. It is an internal growth that produces external change. It is realigning your life in a way that celebrates all of you and maintains this returned power.

Redefine.

Redefining is the process of reclaiming ownership of ones’ life, it is challenging present circumstances in an effort to obtain a life worth living. It is deciding to reframe limiting beliefs, doubt, and fear in an effort to maximize your greatest potential. It is making the choice to give yourself freedom as you reorganize life to fit your goals, dreams, and passions.

Restore.

Restoring is the process utilizing one’s reclaimed power to redefine the present circumstances. It is resting and residing in one’s own power to live as the most authentic and unapologetic self. It is realigning your life experience to celebrate all that you are and being able to live in that celebration. It is restructuring life to be all that you desire it to be.
